What the scanner checks
Generic terms like "eco-friendly", "sustainable", "green", "responsible" used without proof of exceptional environmental performance. Banned outright under ECGT.
"We are committed to sustainability" → VIOLATION
Words like "significantly", "considerably", "much less" used without a baseline and a measured outcome. "Significantly" almost always triggers this.
"Significantly cutting back on energy use" → VIOLATION
Future goals ("we aim to", "our ambition is") stated alongside present-tense claims in a way that misleads consumers about current performance.
"We have high ambitions for sustainability" → VIOLATION
A certification (Green Key, eco-label) displayed or mentioned without explaining what criteria were met or linking to verifiable proof.

Specific actions listed (LED lights, solar panels, water-saving taps) with implied outcomes but no published data to back up the impact claim.
